What is Swedish Massage?
Swedish massage is the most common and best-known type of massage therapy. It's a gentle, relaxing massage that uses long, flowing strokes to ease tension and promote relaxation throughout the entire body.
Conditions That May Benefit
- Stress and anxiety
- Muscle tension and knots
- Poor circulation
- Low back pain
- Neck and shoulder tension
- Headaches
- Insomnia
- General stiffness
After Your Massage
Following your Swedish massage, you should feel deeply relaxed. It's normal to feel slightly sleepy or very calm. We recommend:
- Drinking plenty of water to help flush out released toxins
- Taking it easy for the rest of the day
- Avoiding strenuous exercise immediately after
- Enjoying the sense of calm and wellbeing
Some people experience mild muscle soreness the next day, similar to after gentle exercise. This is normal and should pass within 24 hours.
